ilinniapaa Skills Development Centre is excited to roll-out our second Youth Employment Skills Strategy (YESS) training program starting September 1, 2024 to March 31, 2028!

Our national program for youth 15 to 30 years of age at the time of registration, will be coming to selected locations in Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec and Nunavut, to reach youth living with a disability (self identified or diagnosed), and we want to provide learning and earning opportunities to 2SLGBTQAI+, racialized and newly arrived youth to Canada.

If you are a youth currently not in school or working, then join our 2-week paid training program and earn industry-recognized accredited certificates to kick-start your career; build a properly formatted resume for hiring managers, and learn the skills and gain confidence in Interviewing and job searching.

Also, get one-on-one coaching to help identify your goals and support needs for employment and learning success.

You will be learning the following courses in this program: WHMIS, Young Worker Health and Safety, Preventing and Addressing Workplace Harassment, Bullying and Violence; Cannabis in the Workplace; Fire Safety; Standard First Aid; Nonviolent Crisis Intervention and Mental Wellness and Self Care to manage anxiety, stress and change.
