The WSCC, in partnership with the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS), offers an online WHMIS 2015 e-course to help employers ensure their workers’ Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) training is current.

This course helps employers and workers comply with training requirements and fully understand changes in labeling hazardous materials and the safety data sheets (SDSs) that employers must have readily available at the work site.

The course includes a certificate of completion.

Course Description

Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) is the national and global standard on the safe handling of chemicals and hazardous materials in the workplace.

Whether you work in industrial settings or an office, there are always products with safety labels, data sheets and training requirements for employees to be able to identify the symbols and requirements for the safe handling, storage and personal protective equipment required to handle chemicals in the workplace.

This 2-year certificate must be renewed for compliance.
