Course Description

This Mental Wellness First Aid was developed upon the request of Newcrest Red Chris Mine to support staff and contractors to discuss mental wellness related to home, community and work context related to rotational work.

This course was adapted from nationally accredited content developed in collaboration with indigenous communities and certified by the Indigenous Certification Board of Canada (ICBOC) and elements derived from Mental Health First Aid: Adults Who Interact with Youth.

This course was customized with input by Red Chris Mine management and pilot project participants through consultation discussions, delivery of a pilot session onsite in May 2021, and modified in July 2021.
