Course Description

Join Helen Roos, MHFA Youth instructor to learn about the unique aspects of mental health problems in young people aged 12 to 24.

The Mental Health First Aid (Canada) Youth course is designed to help individuals provide support to youth experiencing mental health challenges. Participants will learn how to recognize signs and symptoms of common mental health problems, provide initial help, and guide youth towards appropriate professional help. The course is taught using a mix of presentations, group discussions, and interactive exercises.

Participants receive a workbook and certificate from the Mental Health Commission of Canada.

NOTE: Minimum of 8 people per class
