Course Description

The Part II Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee course is designed for managers who want to gain a deeper understanding of their role in maintaining a safe and healthy workplace.

This course builds on the foundational knowledge covered in Part I and provides a comprehensive overview of the legislative framework governing occupational health and safety in the workplace.

Participants will learn how to identify workplace hazards and risks, conduct workplace inspections, and investigate incidents and accidents.

The course also covers best practices for communicating health and safety information to employees, as well as strategies for fostering a culture of safety in the workplace.

By the end of the course, participants will have the knowledge and skills needed to effectively serve on a Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee and make meaningful contributions to the development and implementation of health and safety policies and procedures in their organization.
