Course Description

The Human Resources Management Primer for Nunavut Pubic Servants course is designed to provide territorial public servants with a comprehensive understanding of the core concepts, principles, and practices related to managing human resources in the public sector and diverse Nunavut working context.

The course will cover a wide range of topics, including recruitment and selection, performance management, employee relations, training and development, and strategic human resources planning.

Through a combination of lectures, case studies, group discussions, and practical exercises, participants will develop the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively manage human resources within the context of public service organizations.

The method of instruction will allow for some video-based instruction with the instructor and include interactive team assignments and presentations, group discussions and practical exercises throughout the course to enhance participant engagement and learning experience.
