Course Content

This course content includes the following topics:

  1. Learning the basics of discharge, from treatment to entrance into an aftercare program
  2. Learning care techniques for an Inuit/indigenous person with disabilities
  3. Learning post-treatment care stages for Inuit/indigenous persons
  4. Learning trauma and addiction informed techniques for post-treatment care and assistance to Inuit/indigenous persons
  5. Learning about post-treatment services available in the Montreal area

The course includes a quiz, a course evaluation and certificate of completion.

Course Description

This course contains content that is Quebec-specific.

Whether a client exits a program prematurely or completes an intervention, it is important to do a formal discharge and offer aftercare supports: particularly after successful programming for safety planning, relapse mitigation and wraparound supports.
