This exemption is intended for dangerous goods in small quantities that are being shipped for:

Inspection or Investigation purposes:

• Exempt if under direct supervision by a government employee
• Is packaged safely to prevent leaking

Testing or Analysis purposes:

• Is packaged safely to prevent leaking
• Does not exceed 10kg gross weight per package
• Each package is marked with “Test Samples”
• A document that shows the shipper’s name and address and the words “Test Samples”

Demonstration purposes:

• Is packaged safely to prevent leaking
• Does not exceed 10kg gross weight per package
• Each package is marked with “Demonstration Samples”
• Sample must be with the distributor or manufacturer and not for sale
